Text 6 for number 48 to 50
Smoking is harmful for four reasons. Firstly, it is a very expensive
habit. Frequently the price of cigarettes rises. Secondly, it is bad for the
respiratory system. Smokers get cough which last for a long time. As well, they
get bronchitis and pneumonia more easily than no smokers. Thirdly, everyone
knows that there is a connection between lung-cancer and smoking. Finally,
smoking gives you bad breath. Most non-smokers hate the smell of tobacco and
they do not want to sit near someone who will puff smoke all over them. In my
opinion, it is better not to start smoking.

One day a poor fisherman found in his net a little gold fish which
waved its fins about and moved its mouth, as if to beg him to let it goes. The
fisherman was so moved that he threw the fish back into the sea, even though,
if he had sold it to a goldsmith, he would have earned a considerably sum of
money. “You will see how grateful I am.” called the fish beside the boat,
before disappearing back under the waves.” But you must never tell any body
what has happened.” When the fisherman arrived home, he found that miserable
hut had been transformed into a fabulous castle and his wife was wearing a
dress fit for a queen.
“Where did all these riches come
from?” Was the first thing the wife asked when she saw her husband again. Don’t
ask me my wife or everything will disappear again.” But the woman would not
give her husband a moment peace and in the end he told her about the little
gold fish. At the moment, the castle turned back into a hut, and everything was
the way it had been before. And the woman remained what she had always been
nosey and dissatisfied.
