TEXT I  for number 17 to 20

         Once upon a time, there was a fisherman named Batara Guru Sahala who lived in Batak land. One day, he caught a fish that could talk. The fish begged Sahala to set it free and he did accordingly.
         As soon as the fish was free, it changed into a woman. She was so beautiful that Sahala fell in love with her at once. He asked her to marry him. The woman agreed to marry Sahala, but in one condition: he had to keep the secret that she was once a fish. Sahala promised her that he would not tell anyone about it.
         They were happily married and had two daughters. Every morning Sahala went out fishing. His daughters would bring him his lunch. One day, however, instead of bringing the food to their father, the two girl ate it.
         When Sahala knew what they had done with the meal, he got very angry. He shouted at them saying,” You behaved exactly like the daughters of a fish.”
         The girls did not understand what their father meant. They went home and asked their mother about it. Their mother was very annoyed. Although Sahala apologized to her later, she would not forgive him for breaking his promise.
         From that moment on, Sahala took a lesson that he should not have broken his own promise. Sahala was so grief-stricker that he decided to wander for the rest of his life.

Before we smoke, it is better to look at  the fact of smoking effects, not only for smokers but also for non-smokers. About 50 thousands people die every year in Britain as a direct result of smoking. This is seven times as many as deaths in road accidents. Nearly a quarter of smokers die because of diseases caused by smoking.
Ninety percent of lung cancers are caused by smoking. If we smoke five cigarettes a day, we are six times more likely to die of lung cancer than a non–smoker. If we smoke twenty cigarettes a day, the risk is nineteen greater. Ninety five percent of people who suffer from bronchitis are people who smoke. Smokers are two and half times more likely to die of heart disease than non-smokers.
         Additionally, children of smokers are more likely to develop bronchitis and pneumonia. In one hour in a smoky room, a non-smoker breathes as much as substance causing cancer as if he had smoked fifteen cigarettes.
         Smoking is really good for tobacco companies because they do make much money from smoking habit. Smoking, however, is not good for everybody else.

         “I’ll count them again,” Abu Ali said. “One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. Oh, he must come back.”
         Abu Ali climbed back on to the donkey and trotted away.
         After a while he counted his donkeys again. He counted only eight! Once more he looked behind the rocks and behind the trees. But there was no donkey to be seen. “I will count again.” He said, and this time there were nine.
         Just then Abu Ali saw his friend Musa walking along the road. “Musa,” he called. “Help me to count my donkeys. I keep losing one. When I stop to count  I have only eight, but when I get down to look for the ninth, there he is again!”
         “Well, I can see ten donkeys, Abu Ali,” laughed Musa.
         “Ten? How can you see ten?” asked Abu Ali.
         “I can see the donkey you are sitting on and I see eight donkeys behind you.” Said Musa.
         “Of course!” Cried Abu Ali. ”How silly of me, but where is the tenth donkey?”
         “He is sitting on top of the ninth donkey,” said Musa. “and his name is Abu Ali.”

The Smartest Parrot
         Once upon a time, a man had a wonderful parrot. There was no other parrot like it. The parrot could say every word, except one word. The parrot would not say the name of the place where it was born. The name of the place was Catano.
         The man felt excited having the smartest parrot but he could not understand why the parrot would not say Catano. The man tried to teach the bird to say Catano, however, the bird kept of not saying the word.
         At first, the man was very nice to the bird, but then he got very angry. “You stupid bird!” pointed the man to the parrot. “Why can’t you  say the word? Say Catano! Or I will kill you” The man said angrily. Although he hard to teach, the parrot would not say it. Then the man got so angry and shouted to the bird over and over; “Say Catano or I’ll kill you.” The bird kept of not saying the word of Catano.
         One day, after he had been trying so many times to make the bird say Catano, the man got really very angry. He could not bear it. He picked the parrot and threw it into the chicken house. There were four old chickens for next dinner, “You are stupid as the chickens. Just stay with them”, said the man angrily. Then he continued to mumbled, “you know, I will cut the chicken for my meal. Next it will be your turn, I will eat you too, stupid parrot”. After that he left the chicken house.
         The next day, the man come back to the chicken house. He opened the door and he was very surprised. He could not believe what he saw at the chicken house. There were tree death chickens on the floor. At the moment, the parrot was standing proudly and screaming at the last old chicken, Say Catano or I’ll kill you.”

Don’t ask me my wife or everything will disappear again.” But the woman would not give her husband a moment peace and in the end he told her about the little gold fish. At the moment, the castle turned back into a hut, and everything was the way it had been before. And the woman remained what she had always been nosey and dissatisfied.
